This may be a fun game to play if you have watched all the movies in the HP universe. However, it was less fun to play with my kids who have only watched the 1st 2 movies and won’t be old enough to watch all of them for a few years. This is a really fun game for both adults and kids to play together. It’s Disney themed and has old and new Disney movies included in the questions so it can be easy or hard for all ages. I originally played this with some friends but now bought it for vacation to play with my family, including my niece and nephew.I think if you're a fan of Disney, you'll find that most of the questions are not challenging, especially when you get to work out the answer as a group. I find the game to be a bit complicated. The game is played by one person rolling the dice, moving their piece forward and picking up the next question card. The question card has four pictures on the back, those are the possible answers to the questions, and 5 questions on the front. The space the player landed on indicates which question they should ask. 3 of the questions are intended to be answered by the other players as a group (the first question has one correct answer, second question has two correct answers and third question has three correct answers), they must discuss and get all the correct answers to get points and advance on the game board. The fourth question is one that each person answers individually on a selector, and the fifth is a personal question where the asker must select their answer first and the rest of the group is trying to guess how they answered. In this last category, the questions could be about the people playing the game. We didn't much care for this last type of question.I think advancement is too complicated. You use chips numbered 1 through 5 to "bet" on whether you think you'll get the answer right. After you use a chip, you lose it. Everybody gets their chips back when anybody runs out of chips. Since most of the questions are answered as a group, I didn't see much strategy in betting anything besides the highest available. I suppose someone devious could bet 1 and then try to sabotage the answer so everyone else loses a high value chip, but that type of gameplay undermines the family friendly nature of the game. I think it would be much better/simpler if it was just a simple "move ahead 2 spaces for correct answers", instead my family has taken to betting chips without looking at the number, this has also worked.I like the game for the Disney trivia, and we can play it as a family even though it is a bit too complicated. Our family (2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 8) got the Harry Potter Pictopia for Christmas which we loved so we decided to order the Disney version on Amazon. The first time we were sent the older version in the silver box, not the one pictured in the white colorful box. Since Disney changes so often we decided to exchange it and asked Amazon to please send the newer version that is pictured. We are so glad we did because they sent us the new version very quickly with no hassle and it’s awesome! Everything is updated from the pictures to questions and even the board game and pieces. I included pictures of it so you can see what the new one looks like. The box says 7 and up but since we have a younger kid we kind of change the rules a little so everyone can play. We just make it simple and try to ask her questions we think she could get. I like the question choices, they are fairly easy for a Disney aficionado but a little harder for younger ones. However, there are still questions you can find that anyone can answer so it’s really a great game for any group of any ages. You can play by the rules included for older players or just pick cards and ask questions to move along the board for younger players so it’s very versatile. Plus it’s colorful and pretty to look at! Overall it’s a super fun family game and I definitely recommend it to anyone that likes Disney. We already had the Disney Pictopia and love Harry Potter so naturally we bought this one. I love the board set-up, the pawns, and the question cards. We will get a lot of use out of this game!My 12 year old asked to play again right away! It took a little patience to understand the instructions, but once we got it set up, we started learning as we played, and we all loved it. There are many group answers so we might even be able to talk my non-Disney fanatic husband to play, but I played with my children ranging from 6-12, and it was a great new game to add to game night! We weren’t able to finish before bedtime so picked a last round and the person furthest ahead won. It’s made us want to rewatch some movies to brush up for some more answers. We’ve seen most of the movies multiple times and there were a couple answers we struggled with (none of my kids are huge Cars fans so we hadn’t seen those in awhile). Even if you know all the answers, there are enough strategies to still make it competitive, and my oldest was trying to come up with ways to win by forcing the wrong answer when he’s able to benefit himself. It’s a fun one!!If you love Disney you'll love this game.We play regularly as a family of four (including two teenage boys!!)Just all round good family fun.Highly recommend - wish there were other topic available!!Really fun game for the kids. We often just find ourselves grabbing a few cards out and having a quick quiz!Main reason was to encourage our kids to watch the Disney movies as they struggle to sit through a movie due to the suspense in some of them.An unusual game which really tests Disney knowledge. I like the fact you can adapt the level to suit the age of the child you are playing with. My 7 year old grand daughter loves to play it with me. She chooses the easy questions for me!This is a great family board game which the kids (7,9) love to play. Game takes approx 25-30 mins to complete with four players.Love this game, so does my 7 year old daughter. good choice of questions good interaction. A must for all Disney fans
